In some regions the dry conditions resulted in very healthy vineyards and smaller berries with good colour and flavour concentration. These conditions, along with the ideal cool weather during harvest time formed the perfect combination for an exceptional quality wine grape harvest, However According to the 2019 South African Wine Grape Harvest Report, the 2019 wine grape crop was smaller than previous year’s drought-hit crop, and the smallest crop since 2005.
Only the best blending components are selected for this Bordeaux blend. Ultimately the Cabernet Sauvignon forms the backbone of this blend with the Merlot as an uplifting companion. They are kept separate throughout vinification and maturation. A meticulous selection of barrels was made. 18 months in a combination of first, second and third fill barrels

Cabernet Sauvignon 60% / Merlot 40%
Second fill 300 litre French oak barrels
This deeply coloured vibrant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot has well defined ripe black cherries on the nose. These aromas are complemented by perfumed layers of cassis and subtle oak nuances on the palate. With refined tannins the wine is very accessible now but will also benefit from maturation for 2 to 4years
Ready to drink but will develop favourably in bottle for 5 or 8 years.
